Vine, Wine & Dine returns to The Matheson on Wednesday, March 4th with a very special evening featuring David Ramey and Sam Tesconi of Ramey Wine Cellars.
Hailed as "Professor Chardonnay" by Wine Spectator, David Ramey is among a distinguished group of pioneering American vintners who revolutionized modern winemaking and helped elevate California to the forefront of the international wine world. After earning his Master's degree in Enology from UC Davis and training at the legendary Château Pétrus in Bordeaux, David spent decades building some of California's most celebrated wineries before founding Ramey Wine Cellars with his wife Carla in 1996 right here in Healdsburg. His innovations in whole-cluster pressing, native yeast fermentations, and sur lies barrel aging have shaped the way wine is made across the country, and his Chardonnays remain among the most sought-after in California.
Joining David is Sam Tesconi, Director of Marketing and Guest Relations at Ramey Wine Cellars, who brings deep roots in the Sonoma County wine community and a genuine passion for connecting people with exceptional wine.
Hosts Larry Van Aalst and Michael Haney will guide the conversation, exploring the history and philosophy behind Ramey Wine Cellars, the wines in the glass, and the enduring connection between Ramey and the Valette Hospitality family.
Doors open at 5pm for a complimentary pre-show pour. The live broadcast runs 6 to 7pm Pacific on Vine, Wine & Dine, airing every other Wednesday.
